Rob, who has worked at Space Group for more than 11 years and was previously an architect with Sunderland City Council, said social networking was an important way to do business.
He said many organisations involved in the construction technology industry use social media to communicate making it a must-use tool for his business.
He said: “Social media is good for doing business. It is also good to communicate what you are doing as a business. For me it is a communication tool. I think it is best when it comes from yourself and you are true to your personality.”
A look at his Twitter profile, which has just short of 900 followers shows his interest in retweeting industry specific updates including opportunities for graduates, training and business leads.
While he adds his own personality by giving his followers updates on his work night out and family holiday.
His love of Geordie Shore reflects his approach to social media where he likes to follow a mix of industry figureheads as well as light entertainment.
