A solicitor described by the annual Legal 500 guide as a “star in the making” has joined Silk Family Law’s Newcastle team.
Joanne Hall joins the firm – which has particular expertise in cases involving corporate, farming and pension issues – from Major Family Law.
She qualified as a family lawyer in 2007 and specialises in resolving complex disputes involving children and finance.
Silk partner and barrister, Ian Kennerley, said: “We’re very happy to welcome one of the North East’s leading young lawyers to our team.
“Joanne’s expertise will strengthen an already successful team and help support our growth ambitions for the firm.”
Silk, established as a niche practice four years ago, has offices in Newcastle and North Yorkshire, as well as consulting rooms in York and London.
The business has grown consistently since its launch, and relocated its Newcastle offices to One Trinity late last year to house an expanding team.
With Hall’s arrival, the Newcastle team is now 13-strong.
Hall said: “Family law is a constantly changing and challenging area of work, and I’m looking forward to specialising and growing with a firm that has such a strong reputation and a local, national and international client base.”
