A specialist North East recruitment agency is aiming for global success after securing new investment to upgrade its management systems and action new contracts.

After networking missions to Malaysia, with the help of UKTI, the Gateshead-based firm STC Consortium built contacts with people looking for educational staff for positions around the world and decided to improve the firm’s operational and IT infrastructure to take advantage of new opportunities.

Long-time advisors Baker Tilly then helped the company identify sources of capital, leading to a £70,000 investment from the Finance For Business North East Growth Fund, which is administered by regional fund management firm NEL Fund Managers.

Founder Susan Moore said: “The NEL team believed in us, and truly understood what we were looking to do.”
