Quorum Business Park continues to witness new job growth having recently welcomed two established North East businesses to the North Newcastle business park.

Engineering group British Engines and Awarding Organisation NCFE, both moved onto the park at the end of 2013 to accommodate their ongoing expansion.

British Engines, who employs more than 1,250 people, has six engineering and manufacturing businesses, all in the North East. In December 2013 its central core services teams moved to Quorum, from St Peters, where it now employs more than 40 staff.

NCFE, a registered educational charity, decided to relocate to the park having recruited 34 new staff members and boosting its team by almost 30% to a total of 195. Last year more than 340,000 learners from 2,000 colleges, schools and training organisations chose NCFE as the Awarding Organisation to help them move their careers forward.

NCFE has bought building Q6 at Quorum. The building has 5,865sq ft of flexible work space available through Gavin Black and Partners. The space also has access to the new facilities in the building including a staff coffee and a suite of meeting rooms.
