Property consultant the Robertson Simpson Group has expanded to create a new architecture practice.
Northpoint Architects currently employs two RIBA Chartered Architects – Joe Moore and Adam Graham – but the firm hopes to hire more architectural staff this year as their list of projects grows.
With offices in Gateshead, Stockton-on-Tees, Leeds and London, the Robertson Simpson Group provides nationwide, multidisciplinary property consultancy services through the specialist companies which make up the organisation, and Northpoint taps into associated services and administration staff as part of the group.
The addition of Northpoint Architects is the latest development for the firm which already boasts RICS chartered building and general practice surveyors, capital allowance valuers, health and safety specialists and property, business and land agents.
Mr Moore said: “We have established a varied and satisfied client base during the recent economic downturn and feel that now is the right time to take our services to the next level by establishing Northpoint Architects.
“We are focussed on exploring the opportunities and challenges of each individual project to deliver high quality designs and construction solutions.
“Our clients also benefit from the integrated knowledge and services that the Robertson Simpson Group can specifically tailor to suit each client and project.”
Northpoint Architects has recently completed a £3.5m industrial workshop and offices scheme for a specialist engineering company in Middlesbrough.
Current projects range from a feasibility study for a primary school in the West End of Newcastle to a 120-bed student accommodation unit in Sunderland which is currently under construction on site.
Robertson Simpson Group managing director Mark Robertson added: “The addition of an RIBA chartered practice is an exciting development for the Robertson Simpson Group.
“It further enhances the comprehensive range of services that we can offer which we believe is unrivalled in the region.”
