New name on the block in the North East

A new independent property consultants, advising and providing services in the North East and North Yorkshire has been set up

Chartered surveyor Graham Oldfield, who has more than 30 years experience, has set up E G Oldfield Property Consultants. Graham spent 20 years with Sanderson Townend & Gilbert – now Sanderson Weatherall – in Teesside. He went on to work in Newcastle for consultants DTZ, and latterly was head of property and asset management for Lambert Smith Hampton’s Newcastle Office.

E G Oldfield Property Consultants, with offices on Woodland Road, Darlington, provide a range of commercial property asset management and consultancy advice and services to property owners and occupiers.

Oldfield said: “This is an exciting time to establish my own company. With more than 30 years experience advising local, national and institutional clients, I see there are many property opportunities for investors, developers and occupiers which would benefit from property and asset management advice a as we emerge from these challenging times.

“Darlington with it road, rail and air links is ideally placed for quickly reaching all parts for the North East, North Yorkshire, and beyond.

“Whilst the South has historically emerged from recessions a year or two before the North, there are many opportunities for considered investment. As levels of stock dwindle, property owners need to constantly review their assets, identify opportunities, determine what needs to be done to give them the best opportunity to secure occupiers’ space requirements.”
