Growing lift repair firm Exel Elevator on the move

A LIFT repair and maintenance business has moved into larger offices having seen its team quadruple in size in less than two years.

A LIFT repair and maintenance business has moved into larger offices having seen its team quadruple in size in less than two years.

Exel Elevator was founded in 2010 after Jonathan Wilde first visited the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Sunderland and met business adviser Chris Craig.

Wilde then invited previous colleague, Elaine Terry, to join him in partnership in the business and it has proved so successful the growing company is now moving to a larger unit.

David Howell, director of operations at the North East BIC, said: “What is so inspiring about Exel Elevators is that they both worked for other companies and had enough belief in themselves to become their own bosses.

“It is so rewarding to see them grow from strength to strength in such a short space of time.”

The BIC offers a range of commercial property options with flexible tenancy agreement.

Business space across the site ranges from 6,000sq ft industrial units to 150sq ft small office space to let.
