A Hexham Hotel has opened its doors again after undergoing a major revamp.

The County Hotel in Hexham re-opened its doors earlier this month after investment by Priestpopple Partners Limited and owners Punch Taverns, a leading pub company in the UK with around 4,000 pubs nationwide.

The County was closed for 13 weeks while the refurbishment work was carried out. As a result, the investment has created 25 new jobs.

Punch Taverns’ Partnership Development Manager, Jason Ronan said: “This is our biggest spend on a single Punch site this year and it has breathed a new lease of life into the hotel and given the community the additional facilities they needed.”
