THE Co-operative Pharmacy has completed a deal to buy the Alliance Pharmacy in Guisborough.

THE Co-operative Pharmacy has completed a deal to buy the Alliance Pharmacy in Guisborough.

The pharmacy, in Westgate, is among a number sold after the merger of Boots Group and Alliance UniChem.

The Co-operative Pharmacy, part of the Manchester-based Co-operative Group, has bought the outlet for an undisclosed sum.

It will become part of the Co-operative Group’s UK-wide network. All 14 staff will transfer to the group.

The Co-operative Pharmacy has a branch in Brotton, and operates outlets in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool. In time the Guisborough store will become The Co-operative Pharmacy.
