Merchant Place Developments has appointed the industrial agency teams of CBRE and HTA Real Estate as joint agents on its 104-acre Merchant Park scheme in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

Merchant Park is just one mile from Junction 59 of the A1 and close to key rail, air and sea connections.
CBRE and HTA Real Estate are marketing the remaining development plots totaling 35 acres (14 hectares) with outline planning permission to provide up to 900,000 sq ft of built to suit industrial, warehouse and office facilities in units from 30,000 sq ft up to 330,000 sq ft.
Nick Atkinson, director of HTA Real Estate, Newcastle said: “The supply of existing large modern units is limited across the region but we now have the best market conditions for developing new properties since 2007.
“Merchant Place Developments has a great track record for delivery of high quality bespoke units to suit occupiers’ needs.”
Dave Cato, associate director of Industrial Agency at CBRE Leeds, said: “Merchant Park is one of the most talked-about opportunities in the North. There is now a fantastic opportunity for new occupiers to become part of this exciting development by establishing their operations on site and we anticipate high levels of demand.”
