Meet our Associate Sponsor:
Founded in 1988 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Nigel Wright has become the largest regional recruiter in the North East, working with clients across a range of key industry sectors. Since 2000 our business has grown outside of the region, establishing offices in Newcastle, London, Aberdeen, Copenhagen, Aahaus, Dusseldorf, Madrid, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm and Malmo. While our recent expansion has been concentrated overseas, Nigel Wright has maintained its headquarters in Newcastle and the North East market remains a central feature of our overall growth strategy.
Nigel Wright operates across four global territories: Europe, The Americas, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific. In each region we work with multinational as well as domestic companies, supporting them with international, regional and national recruitment assignments. Currently, we have eleven offices from which to support our growing client base; each office supports either our consumer, energy, executive or recruitment business units.
We believe that every appointment you make should strengthen your business. This is why our philosophy of thoroughly understanding our customers and their needs makes us distinctly different from any of our competitors, because we have the unique ability to think just like you. Many of our consultants have previous experience working in the industries and disciplines they recruit into. The few that don’t are trained to become specialists in a particular area. Working in this way means we have unrivalled expertise in making successful appointments in a range of key disciplines and sectors.
Nigel Wright on the CIPD Awards
Nigel Wright has been a strong supporter of the North East CIPD Awards for the last nine years and we are once again delighted to have been selected as Associate Sponsor.
Our business has strong working relationships with HR&D departments across the region, and the CIPD Awards is a great platform from which to celebrate the good work they have been undertaking.
Today, HR&D is under increased pressure to add value beyond purely administrative tasks, as companies require more support in delivering commercial results through areas such as cost savings and improving productivity.
HR has continued to make a valuable contribution in 2015. The key themes of the past twelve months have included attracting and retaining talent, change management, developing leadership skills, investing in new systems and driving efficiencies.
Being at the forefront of the organisation means HR can drive cross functional improvements to maximise efficiency, while ensuring that employee engagement, talent management and retention receive a greater strategic focus.
Winning a CIPD award can also make a significant impact on an individual’s career or an organisation’s prospects in the marketplace. We’re looking forward to highlighting some of the region’s top talent over the next few months.
