Ward Hadaway property team grows along with market

The property team at law firm Ward Hadaway is continuing to grow as the sector’s revival sees an upturn in work from a wide range of clients

The UK Top 100 firm has added three new recruits to its team in Newcastle in the past two months – associate Saji Bratch and assistant solicitors Rhiannon Griffiths and Phillip Dunn – in the wake of increased instructions and enquiries.

Ward Hadaway’s housebuilding clients, which include some of the country’s leading residential developers, are particularly busy, with many reporting their highest activity levels in five years, boosted by the success of the Help to Buy scheme.

The firm has also advised commercial developers on a number of schemes and remains busy in the public sector, particularly in the healthcare field.

Partner and head of property Neil Robson said: “It has been well-documented that the property sector has been hit quite hard over the past five years by the downturn and recession, but there are some encouraging signs that things appear to be back on an upward curve.

“In the housebuilding sector, the Government’s Help to Buy scheme does appear to have made a real impact as our clients are reporting sales rises.”
