The corporate finance team of independent chartered accountancy Tait Walker has completed seven deals in the first quarter - its busiest ever start to the year.
The Newcastle firm has been involved in a variety of roles in deals, totalling £20m over the last five months.
Hexham-based Hadrian Car Panels Ltd was assisted in its expansion by Tait Walker when it acquired the trade and assets of Midland competitor EV Automotive Limited, to become the biggest supplier in the UK.
Partner Michael Smith, said: "Tait Walker Corporate Finance has established itself as the leading independent dealmaker in the North-East.
"We combine experience with the flexibility and guidance clients need when undertaking delicate negotiations back to back with often complex commercial transactions."
In the case of The Specialist Hire Group, a national company, Tait Walker's team led by Michael Smith and Andrew Moorby, provided both due diligence and transactional tax advice on the deal which allowed the group to expand its forklift truck hire and service operations.
And in February, Michael Smith and Mike Russell, of Tait Walker's Tees Valley office, advised the management of Peterlee's Seaward Group in relation to its acquisition of Croydon-based Cropico Limited for an undisclosed sum.
