The University of Sunderland has been named in a national survey as one of the best universities to work at in the UK.
The establishment scored highly in several categories of the Times Higher Education’s 2014 Best University Workplace survey.
Over the course of several months in 2013, more than 4,500 higher education staff from 150 institutions across the UK contributed to the results. Sunderland vice chancellor Peter Fidler said the accolade was “reassuring”.
“This is testament to all the hard work and commitment our staff put in to ensure the student experience is at the heart of all we do,” he said. “I am incredibly proud of all that our dedicated staff have achieved to make Sunderland one of the best places to work in the UK.”
