Industry experts from across the UK are set to descend upon Sunderland’s software hub for an event exploring infrastructure’s role in supporting an export-led economy.
Computer technology and IT consulting corporation IBM will lead the event at the Sunderland Software Centre alongside Centre for Cities, an independent research and policy analysis for UK city economies and Business in the Community, tomorrow, July 16 to discuss changes to government policy following the recent Spending Review announcement.
Councillor Paul Watson, leader of Sunderland City Council, is set to launch the event.
He said: “We’re expecting an impressive turnout of leading industry players. Not only is it an opportunity to examine in depth what the review means for us as a city, but it is also highly beneficial to the software and technology sector.”
