A Sunderland-based dog-walking firm has expanded into the retail sector with the launch of a new online pet store.
Pack Leader Dog Adventures was set up last year by Hannah Pearson and Dom Hodgson after the pair from Ashbrooke in the city discovered a gap in the market for their specialist service.
Since then, the business has grown and now has a new website offering advice, training videos, a range of dog treats, clothing for pampered pooches and even a Christmas hamper for dogs.
Pearson said: “We are delighted with the response so far. This week all our walking clients have started their dogs’ Christmas shopping with us and the training videos have proved very popular.”
Dom said: “We walk, play and train with the dogs everyday so we think we are ideally placed to talk about anything dog related. We provide a tried and tested service. Our clients are always asking for advice on products and training, so we are confident that the wider public will take to the new store and the help we have to offer’.
Pack Leader Dog Adventures was the first dog walking business in the UK to be recognised by Theo Paphitis’s ‘Small Business Sunday’ award.
