SMALL businesses are being invited to meet buyers from some of the region's biggest organisations.

The Meet the Buyer event, organised by North Tyneside Business Forum, aims to help smaller firms win more business.

They will be able to meet buyers from companies and organisations including Balfour Beatty, Turney Wylde, Robertson, Capita Symonds, Keepmoat, Home Group, North Tyneside Council, the MoD, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust Foundation, Tyne Metropolitan College and more.

Businesses can learn how to access supply chains and find out about upcoming opportunities in the public and private sectors. On the day, they will also be able to register their company on appropriate tender portals and supply chain lists.

The event, which is backed by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), also offers small firms the opportunity to network and make new contacts.

It will take place on March 14 from 2pm to 6pm at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College Sports Centre, Hawkey’s Lane, North Shields.
