A fast growing North East business technology company has strengthened its team with the appointment of an experienced IT professional.

South Shields-born Peter Rising has joined the team at Gateshead-based Synergi, as a senior Microsoft consultant.

Rising has more than 20 years’ industry experience, having worked in senior positions for various companies including a major IT solutions provider.

In his role at Synergi he will be responsible for helping customers migrate from traditional business software platforms to cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics CRM. Rising helped one of his previous employers move from a traditional Microsoft exchange server to Office 365 – a project which benefited 475 staff across the world.

Rising, who now lives in Norton, Teesside, said: “Increasingly businesses large and small are exploring the possibilities of cloud.

“Technologies such as Office 365 can significantly reduce your IT support costs and capital outlay on hardware and software. They also allow you to work smarter and faster from anywhere in the world.”

Peter Joynson established Synergi at the beginning of 2014 with a view to attracting regional and national companies with a range of specially-designed business applications and Microsoft technologies.

Since then, a series of has contract wins has put the business on target to achieving sales of £500,000 in year one, with a targeted £2m within three years.

Joynson, managing director, added: “Increasingly smaller companies are adopting the cloud as they become more aware of the benefits it can bring to their business.

“At Synergi we’re helping our customers to embark on a journey that enables them to reduce their IT costs and improve their business efficiency.”
