The home of Velvet toilet tissue is launching a recruitment drive with an internationally-acclaimed exhibition of pictures and video taken inside its factory.
Earlier this year, two artists from the photography collective Wideyed, Lucy Carolan and Richard Glynn, spent three weeks at SCA’s tissue manufacturing site in Prudhoe taking pictures of the 400-plus workforce.
Now the SCA Prudhoe Mill is using the photos to launch a recruitment campaign for 20 engineering and apprentice vacancies.
SCA HR manager Alison Rishworth said: “When we saw what a fantastic job Richard and Lucy had done in capturing life behind the scenes at the site, and the incredible response to an exhibition in Nottingham, we realised that these pictures told a strong story.”
