Recruitment agency NRL is shortlisted for award

NRL, which now has offices throughout the country and a turnover of more than £150m, has been singled out in the Best Engineering Recruitment Agency category at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence

A recruitment agency that has had an office in Washington for more than 25 years has been shortlisted for an award in the UK’s largest event for the industry.

NRL, which now has offices throughout the country and a turnover of more than £150m, has been singled out in the Best Engineering Recruitment Agency category at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence.

The company’s North East branch, which itself has an annual turnover of £16m, had traditionally focused on vacancies in the trades sector.

Due to the growing need for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation (ME&I) technical staff, however, it recently expanded with a refurbished office for its new technical team.

The company also runs a trainee recruitment consultant programme, helping individuals progress into middle and senior management positions.

ME&I director Gillian Gomersall said: “It is a really exciting time to join the NRL team and we pride ourselves on investing in the long-term career plans of our staff.”

NRL provides recruitment, training, rail maintenance and Non-Destructive testing (NDT) services to the technical, engineering and construction sectors.
