An estate agent is expanding by opening a second office, creating five new jobs.

Readman Rohan of Yarm is launching another estate agency in Stokesley, due to the company’s ongoing growth and an increasingly buoyant housing market across Teesside and North Yorkshire.

Jackie Rohan, who has more than 20 years’ experience in estate agency and financial services, first opened Readman Rohan in Danby Wynd, just off Yarm High Street, in 2011.

Readman Rohan specialises in sales and lettings in a variety of locations including Yarm, Ingleby Barwick, Kirklevington, Stokesley, Seamer and the surrounding villages as well as independent financial services.

The company now employs 12 staff across both its offices with a dedicated rentals team to cope with the high demand in this area.

Rohan said: “The market around Yarm and especially in the Stokesley area is incredibly fast-moving and, because of such an increase in properties coming to market, we decided the time was ideal to open another branch.

“Properties of all sizes are in high demand but we have seen a steady increase in people looking for high-status properties and we have several valued at £500,000 or more on our books.

“The rentals market is also really busy and we have a team specially-trained to work on this area alone because of the high demand. We’re really excited about opening in Stokesley which is such a vibrant town with an incredibly buoyant property market.”
