A North Shields engineering firm has become an ambassador for a national scheme to boost the growth of Britain’s small businesses.
Quick Hydraulics has signed up to be an official supporter of the Government-backed Business is GREAT campaign, which provides assistance to help small firms grow, hire staff and export their products and services.
The company designs, manufactures and installs complex hydraulic systems and has expanded rapidly in recent times, creating 18 jobs and ramping up turnover from £2.5m to £3.2m last year after winning work in the oil and gas and subsea sectors.
MD and owner Andrew Esson said: “We’re delighted to support the campaign. As a company we’ve had a lot of support from Government-backed schemes such as the Manufacturing Advisory Service and Growth Accelerator, which have allowed us to bring lean manufacturing concepts to the business and make our sales processes more efficient.”
