THE Yorkshire office of Newcastle-based law firm, Dickinson Dees has played a major role in the sale of York-based bus company Top Line Travel to Transdev Blazefield.
Transdev already owns Yorkshire Coastliner and Harrogate and District Travel, both of which operate into York, in addition to Keighley & District Travel and a number of operating companies throughout Lancashire.
Mark Warburton, corporate partner at Dickinson Dees in York, said: “We were delighted to have been able to advise Top Line in the sale of their business, which has proved successful for all concerned. The acquisition of the company by Transdev Blazefield represents the beginning of a new and exciting era for the firm and we wish them every success.”
Top Line Travel, of Hospital Fields Road, was set up by Peter and Susan Dew eight years ago and was the first City Sightseeing operator in England.
Peter Dew of Top Line Travel said: “We were extremely impressed with the in-depth expertise of the Dickinson Dees team involved in the deal, who ensured that the sale process ran smoothly from start to finish.”
