IT'S snow joke delivering events in this wintry weather, but North East-based Event Management company She's Gott It! is in the throes of delivering over 12 Christmas events across the North East and Scotland to thousands of visitors, showcasing magical Christmas visitor experiences.
Alongside the Christmas event delivery, the team at She’s Gott It! is already planning and programming a wide range of events for 2011 and 2012.
These include a Science Festival, International Award Ceremony in London, International Conference, a music event and educational and enterprise activity, as well as numerous event consultancy projects nationally and internationally and the continued year-round planning for next Christmas.
It’s an impressive list for a company that has been trading for nine years and was started by North East female entrepreneur, Nickie Gott, from her garage at home, following redundancy during pregnancy and a period of ill health.
The company has recently expanded both its staff and premises and is now based at the prestigious Bowes Offices in Lambton Park, County Durham.
With teams both in Scotland and the North East, Nickie is also developing the business internationally, more recently in the UAE.
Over the last nine years the company has grown extensively by recruiting some of the best event managers and staff in the UK and it ensures suppliers share their enthusiasm and commitment to getting it right. Nickie has developed a brand for She’s Gott It! that prides itself on outstanding creativity, innovative event delivery solutions, a can-do attitude, enviable client liaison and detailed reporting procedures to ensure they share a client’s vision to make it happen.
The company boasts a client list from many of the UK’s local authorities to private sector clients including Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK.
Nickie believes that the success of She’s Gott It! rests solely on the team’s ability to deliver a customer-focused service that ensures phenomenal success at events across all levels.
Once a month the team has a time-out session to explore new and exciting event concepts and this has led to the delivery of events such as Edinburgh’s Christmas Festival for an audience of over half a million, award dinners for 200 guests, enterprise activity in schools and one-to-one consultancy to assist clients with their event strategies and delivery.
The team’s creativity also resulted in a group of people dressed as toy soldiers hoisted by crane above the world-famous Edinburgh’s Christmas Tree to mark the lighting ceremony for the City.
It’s no wonder this North East-based event company has been recognised with numerous awards including NE Small Business of the Year 2008, NE Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 and Nickie was a previous winner in 2007 of the North East Woman Entrepreneur Award.
Nickie believes setting up her own business was the best thing she ever did and alongside She’s Gott It! she also actively supports and promotes women’s enterprise in the North East as the current chair of the women’s enterprise network, WIN (Women Into The Network).
