Percy Hedley Foundation to benefit from business growth event

Business Growth Engine will feature panel discussions on funding, business strategy, marketing, PR and technology

Top business experts will gather at the Jury’s Inn in Gateshead on Thursday 18th September, to raise money for charity while setting an agenda for economic growth among the region’s SMEs.

The inaugural Business Growth Engine event, supported by Gordon Brown Law Firm, will offer guidance on everything from finance to IT, marketing and PR. Proceeds will go to the Percy Hedley Foundation, which provides services for disabled people.

Taking place between 11am and 2pm, the event will include contributions from 12 business advisors, who will be split into two panel discussions, the first being on funding and business strategy and the second on marketing, PR and technology.

Kicking off the proceedings will be managing director of Fluid Group, Oliver Vaulkhard, who will be joined by guest speaker, Paul Currie, managing director of The Lakes Distillery. Mr Currie is currently preparing to launch the first independent whisky distillery in Cumbria.

Wendy Peffers, marketing manager at Gordon Brown Law Firm, which is helping to organise the event, said: “One of things always said about the North East is that there is a real sense of community and through the Business Growth Engine we want to use our region’s business success to inspire and help others, whilst also raising money for a local charity.

“Percy Hedley is a cause that deserves endless support and its great knowing that through this event we can also give something back to those who really need it.

“Tickets cost just £5 and all of the money raised will be donated to the charity.”

Tickets will be available on the door. For more information, see www.businessgrowthengine.co.uk
