Partners aim to clean up town

A hartlepool businessman has taken his company into the world of franchising.

John Meggison, a magistrate on the town's bench for 10 years, previously ran his own independent cleaning company in Hartlepool.

Now he has linked up with Myhome to launch an East Durham franchise.

Mr Meggison said: "I was keen to continue running a cleaning business within my own local community, but felt that both my customers and I would benefit from working in partnership with an established company such as Myhome that already had tried and tested systems in place."

He employs four staff and will be looking to recruit additional local workers as the business expands.

Cleaning staff at MyHome, which was launched 11 years ago, complete a training programme and undergo a strict vetting process, including police checks.

Chief executive, Russell O'Connell said: "John brings a wealth of invaluable experience to Myhome and we are delighted that someone with his background has joined the Myhome team."
