High security specialists Securiclad is set to break into new overseas markets and quadruple turnover within three years, after forming a partnership with a major player in their sector.
The North Tyneside-based business manufactures high security panelling and has current revenues of £250,000, but the company is poised to take turnover past £1m for the first time within three years after teaming up with leading physical security specialist Burton Safes.
Burton Safes, which operates across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, is a renowned supplier of safes, strong boxes, secure storage and access control systems, and provides security solutions for the banking, government and petrochemical sectors, as well as domestic clients.
In a significant development, Securiclad is to supply Burton Safes with its modular composite panel systems, a partnership which will enable the West Yorkshire firm to offer an additional level of protection for its clients in the UK and abroad, while also opening doors to new foreign markets for Securiclad.
Securiclad, which employs 29 people at its North Shields base together with its sister company Isoclad, designs and manufactures panels to withstand determined attempts at forced entry using the kind of top-of-the-range, high-powered cutting tools employed by fire and rescue personnel.
The Securiclad panel has also achieved European EN1063 BR4 certification, which means it can withstand the firepower of a powerful, large bore 0.44 Magnum weapon.
Their high security level means that Securiclad’s systems are ideal for the protection of areas containing high value items and cash, servers, sensitive data, control equipment, hazardous substances and pharmaceuticals.
Following the partnership, Securiclad are expanding the workforce, taking on their first ever apprentice while also looking for a building technician to support pre and post sales activity.
