North East Business Executive of the Year shortlist revealed

The Journal can now reveal the names of region's top business people who have made it on to the shortlist for the North East Business Executive of the Year Awards

 

The Journal can now reveal the names of region’s top business people who have made it on to the shortlist for the North East Business Executive of the Year Awards.

The ultimate winners of the prestigious event will be named at the awards night on November 14, when motivational guru, Caspar Berry, will be guest speaker.

This year’s shortlist is as follows:

TYNESIDE & NORTHUMBERLAND

John Dickson - chairman of construction experts, Owen Pugh Group, Dudley

David Harrison - managing partner of financial services firm, True Potential LLP, Newcastle

Robert Bowles - chairman of specialist coating company Barrier Group, Willington

DURHAM & WEARSIDE

Stephen Learney - managing director of Haskel Europe, a specialist in high pressure technology, based in Sunderland

Helen Smith - chief executive of specialist recruitment firm, Oil Consultants, Washington

Peter Walls - chief executive of social housing expert, Gentoo Group, Sunderland

TEESSIDE

Bryan Bunn - managing director of Nortech Group, Wynyard

Charles Clinkard - managing director of The Clinkard Group, based in Stockton

Mike Matthews - managing director and European operations officer of Nifco UK, Eaglescliffe

YOUNG BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR

David Clayton who runs shed making company, Northern Garden Sheds, Newcastle

Leanne McHugh of catering company Love Food, Newcastle

Luke Robertson who last year launched online sticker business Wallchimp, based in Hartlepool
