True Potential Investments, part of the Newcastle-headquartered True Potential LLP group of companies, has launched the UK’s first personal finance app for Apple Watch.

The True Potential Investor app allows users to set their own financial goals and risk levels, before choosing funds to invest in based on detailed information on areas like performance and volatility.

Savers can also use it to view their saving levels, comparing them against their goals and topping them up accordingly to close any gaps.

The app, which is aimed at non-experts, was designed to bring a more strategic way of thinking to personal investing.

Among its highlights are real-time portfolio valuation and the incorporation of True Potential’s impulseSave technology, designed to turn spenders into savers by allowing them to add money to savings, pensions and investment accounts through a single button click.

Sums as small as £1 can be transferred through this method.

Daniel Harrison, a managing partner at True Potential Investments, said: “True Potential has launched another first with this leading-edge technology that can change the way people save and invest.

“With technology that people use every day, such as mobile phones and now smartwatches, we can turn spenders into savers and get people in to the habit of investing.

“Technology such as ours proves that investing can be fast, easy and even fun.

“We wanted to be the first to add this kind of functionality to Apple Watch because we know that Apple has a knack of catching the zeitgeist and we pride ourselves on being first when it comes to personal finance technology.”

Formed in 2007, True Potential LLP is one of the fastest growing financial services and technology firms in the UK.

Last year, it grew turnover by 61% to £44.4m and group profit by 98% to £10.5m.

The company was also named as one of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 firms in the UK and the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA for 2014.
