Ms Owers is chief executive of North East PR agency OPR; Ms Green is director of CBI North East; Mr Quigley is chief executive at marketing agency Different, and Mr Birkett is regional managing director for Johnston Press.

Peter McIntyre, of Northumberland’s economic development agency Arch, is also joining the board.
