Naylors Chartered Surveyors has appointed a new managing director to help drive the firm forward in what management anticipate will be its most successful year.

The independent company, which has offices on Tyneside and Teesside, has seen a surge of new instructions as business confidence improves.

Angus White, who takes over the lead from practice founder Bill Naylor, joined Naylors in 1998 as head of asset management and has grown the department from a standing start to a portfolio of 90 properties.

He said; “Whilst continuing to be responsible for the property and asset management team where recent instructions have taken the annual rental roll to over £5m, myself, Bill and the other directors will be working hard to capitalise on the firm’s solid foundations to take the business forward to new levels.”

Naylors property consultants offer a wide range of services.

Naylor added: “Having survived the recession we are now making plans to continue to expand the spread of work we are involved in, offering wide ranging property consultancy services from our offices in Newcastle and Teesside.

“This period of growth has highlighted the need to plan for the future and whilst I will remain fully involved in the business it is an ideal time for Angus to assume responsibility for refining and developing the business plan, with a focus on pushing Naylors forward as a truly multi-disciplinary firm.”
