The Centre for Digital Business, which recently opened an office at the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Sunderland, has appointed a new digital training administrator.

Rachel Owers, who has an events management degree from the University of Sunderland, where she has also held an internship, will market and co-ordinate training sessions aimed at helping non-digital businesses to maximise their online capabilities.

She said: “It is a great opportunity to put my degree into practice, setting up and organising sessions. I also very much enjoy the diversity of the role as the Centre for Digital Business works with so many sectors so I am also learning a great deal about the SME community.”
