NEWFORM Energy is a provider of affordable renewable energy products across a broad customer base, from public sector bodies to self-builders and business owners.
Newform offers the opportunity to generate income, as well as electricity, while at the same time helping to conserve the future of the countryside around us.
At the core of the business is a range of Hybrid PV-T (photovaltaic and thermal), Solar PV and Solar Thermal products, all of which are MCS certified.
What is PVT collector?
A PVT collector is the combined assembly of a PV module, for the conversion of electrical energy, with the high efficiency, flat-plate solar collector, to convert thermal energy.
Volther Hybrid PVT is a step-change technology that maximises the energy return for a given area, a finely balanced solution that optimises efficiency, saving space and money in the following ways:
Space saving – only one panel is required to produce both heat and electricity.
Greatly improved paybacks over the combination of traditional PV and Solar Thermal technologies.
Low maintenance, unlike other renewable sources of energy – virtually fit and forget.
Providing opportunities to most residential and light-commercial, low-energy buildings to reach zero carbon.
What are the benefits of PVT technology?
PVT is a hybrid technology that combines monocrystalline photovoltaic with a high-efficiency thermal collector.
The benefits are vast and include:
A simple, low cost, low maintenance energy solution able to facilitate the Government’s zero-carbon strategy.
Higher output efficiency at lower temperature than the equivalent mono PV.
What can be achieved with a PVT collector?
PVT collectors allow the setting up of a total solar energy system for both electrical and thermal energy generation.
And because of its cooling effect on the PVC module, this system has a higher efficiency at much lower cost when compared to having separate systems.
