More than 100 people are signed up to attend IP World 2012 at Durham’s Ramside Hall, which will take place on Thursday, March 1. The event will offer networking opportunities and seminars, and a chance to talk with international vendors such as Cisco, Mitel, Milestone Systems and Axis.

IP World 2012 is sponsored by Advantex, the Houghton-le-Spring firm that has installed IT technology to improve efficiency in places such as Gateshead College, Nissan (NMUK) and The Gambling Commission. Advantex was set up 10 years ago, employs 40 people, and expects to achieve sales of over £3m later this year

Director of sales and marketing, Stephen O’Connell, said: “The region needs this event to showcase the available technology to business leaders and decision makers.

“IP World explains how new technologies can be adopted to improve business performance and offer cost savings. Local businesses which attend will be able to better understand what’s available as well as get an insight into the benefits of emerging technologies.”
