A new annual event designed to inspire innovation and commercial success in business is coming to Newcastle.
Producers of the Thinking Digital Conference have joined forces with Newcastle University Business School to organise the first Return on Innovation (ROI) day on November 27, an event they say is attracting some of the UK’s most talented and influential industry leaders.
Aimed at senior executives responsible for delivering value in their enterprises, ROI is intended to show how creative ideas can be successfully applied to business models, with a cohort of speakers bringing experience of developing global brands, including Google, GlaxoSmithKline and Microsoft.
Among the five speakers on the day, ROI has attracted two former TED and TEDx speakers, Steve Vranakis and JP Rangaswami. Others include Eddie Obeng – who founded Pentacle, the world’s first Virtual Business School – and Dr Colin Ashurst, who is an associate director for learning and teaching at Newcastle University Business School.
Herb Kim, of Thinking Digital, said: "There is nothing more important to the future of the British economy than being able to generate returns on innovation. I am honoured that Newcastle University Business School has chosen to work with Thinking Digital Limited as a partner and excited to grow the community of commercial innovators in and around the North East of England.
“ROI promises to be a fabulous new event dissecting successful innovation in businesses and organisations."
