The Journal Business

The Journal is launching a consultation into what readers want from its business coverage both in print and online.

The Journal is the first port of call for North East business news but with the changing way that people are accessing information we want to find out how we can provide our readers with a product that they continue to turn to for insight.

We want to hear how readers get their business news, when they prefer to receive it and what type of news best fits their purposes.

Over the next few weeks we will be asking you to fill out a questionnaire online, take part in an online discussion through Twitter and by interviewing business leaders.

We want to hear what you think about our business coverage, what we can do to improve it and how we can adapt our platforms to fit the readers’ needs.

Brian Aitken, Editor of The Journal said: “The Journal’s business pages have always been first for business news in the North East and this is a tradition we want to continue but we are only too aware that our audience is changing the way it accesses news and information.

“We want to know more about what type of news they find most helpful and how we as a paper can adapt to ensure we continue to provide the best service to the North East’s business community."
