A Jarrow company has secured framework contracts worth up to £380m.

Kaefer C&D Ltd, which is a subsidiary of German company Kaefer, was successful in a tendering process run by Magnox Ltd, winning access and insulation services work with six site licence companies operating on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and including Sellafield Ltd, Magnox Ltd, RSRL, DSRL, NNL and Springfield Fuels.

The contracts start in August and the company says it will use North East labour and suppliers.

Operations director Paul Hoyle said: “We are obviously delighted that the quality of our work, our proposals for innovative working and the professionalism and experience of our people have been recognized by us being awarded this prestigious contract.

“It further enhances our reputation within the industry and reinforces our intention to continue to grow the business.”
