A FAST-GROWING business conference and accommodation finder is creating jobs after branching out into travel booking.
Castle Eden-based Hospitality Guaranteed was set up five years ago by Victoria Brunton and Amanda Jackson, who had a combined 20-plus years’ experience working in hotels, hospitality and events.
Initially a two-woman band, the business now employs seven people. It has just taken on a business trip adviser after moving into train and flight bookings and will shortly be looking for a second.
Hospitality Guaranteed works by finding the most suitable and best value accommodation for corporate events, hospitality and training. It is currently generating around £5m of revenue for the hotels it works with and has picked up contracts with clients in the motor, food and retail sectors across the UK.
In addition to adding business travel to its portfolio, the firm is now launching a customer loyalty scheme.
Brunton said: “We wanted to create our own values and customer care, and rather than being restricted to one hotel, we needed to be independent.
“We have grown through the recession by around 30% year on year. Part of the service is free, such as the venue-finding service and accommodation finding. Some customers have been looking for extra help. It’s been quite positive for us but you can’t rest on your laurels.”
She and Jackson attended a recent dinner at the House of Lords hosted by Lord Coe and the Ramada hotel group’s director of sales. They are now pushing ahead with plans to expand further.
Jackson said: “We have ambitious plans to grow the business in the future and develop systems and services that are unique in our sector.
“As well as this we are looking at expanding into bigger premises and are currently looking into franchising the Hospitality Guaranteed brand and concepts to other locations such as Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds.”
Brunton said: “Our aim is to be a full service company covering all business requirements when it comes to conference and events including travel, accommodation and online bookings – we are well on our way to achieving this.”
