TEES Valley firms are celebrating scooping top safety honours.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has honoured 31 local businesses for their outstanding achievements in workplace safety.

They have been presented with RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.

The 31 Tees Valley firms were among 1,400 winners recognised by RoSPA in the 51st year of the awards programme.

Tom Mullarkey, RoSPA chief executive, said: “These award winners have demonstrated how seriously they take health and safety and they should be proud of their success. We hope others will seek to follow their efforts to support RoSPA’s mission to save lives and reduce injuries.”
