Jacky Brown, a housewife, mum of two and entrepreneur, who lives in Gosforth, is all set to take on the UK bath accessories market with her new business Bath Relaxer® – a support cushion to prevent people sliding down the bath.
Mrs Brown has been working on Bath Relaxer® for the last 12 months ahead of its launch this week. She said: “Initially Bath Relaxer® will be sold via the company’s website www.bathrelaxer.com but we hope to gain retail distribution with major high street retailers in due course”.
“With over 22 million homes having baths in the UK I believe there is a significant opportunity for Bath Relaxer®.”
Mrs Brown, a big fan of Dragons’ Den and an avid viewer of the inventors programme Tomorrow’s World on BBC TV when she was growing up told The Journal: “Every week I used to watch Tomorrow’s World and it made me want to invent and trademark a product. Bath Relaxer® is the result of coming up with a straight-forward product that has a mass market”.
“Bath Relaxer® is a support cushion which sits half way down the bath under your bottom or at the bottom of the bath to rest your feet on.
“It has three suction cups ensuring that sliding down the bath is a thing of the past.
“I can relax or even read a book comfortably in the bath without sliding. It provides a whole body experience as your legs are allowed to float freely.”
