Law firm Gordon Brown are hosting an evening of wine tasting and canapés with an artistic twist to kick-start an intensive year-long fundraising campaign for The Sunshine Fund.
The event will take place at Jim Edwards’ Art Studio in Newcastle on Thursday, February 6, where attendees will be free to browse the artwork on display by local artist Jim Edwards, best known for his contemporary depictions of North East bridges and buildings.
Gordon Brown Law Firm hosts regular fundraising events to provide consistent support to the Sunshine Fund, the charity of The Journal’s sister paper The Chronicle.
Wendy Peffers, marketing manager at the firm, is due to tackle the Great Wall of China in September in aid of the charity, and needs all the support she can gather. Peffers said: “This amazing charity provides specialised equipment to children with disabilities in the North East of England.
“Any support the North East community can provide me with would be greatly appreciated, to help raise as much money as possible.”
The marketing manager will be at the event to gather contributions for the expedition. Alternatively, you can donate via her Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/Wendy-Peffers .
Tickets to the wine tasting evening are priced at £20. Guests will be offered a selection of wines to sample throughout the night, alongside a delicious serving of finger foods to try. Spaces are limited. For further information regarding the event, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0191 389 5181.
