A SEMINAR looking in detail at some of the changes expected as a result of the forthcoming reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is being organised for farmers from around the region.

The Does the CAP Fit? event, which will be held at Middleton-in-Teesdale Mart on February 20, has been organised by H&H Land and Property.

It includes seminars from the firm’s agricultural adviser Andrew Jamieson, environmental adviser, Mark Barrow, town planner Neil Henderson, renewable specialist Alistair Fell and arboriculturist Richard Hunter.

The team has already presented similar seminars in Hexham, Carlisle and Broughton in Cumbria.

The event will focus on changes likely to be made to EU and UK policies and what to expect from future subsidy regimes and legislation, and aims to provoke discussion and debate.
