A Tyneside recruitment specialist aims to double its turnover and staffing levels after exceeding financial targets during their first year in business.

First Class Technical Recruitment, which has offices in Newcastle and Aberdeen, topped targets of £250,000 after secure high profile contracts.

The deal wins also saw the firm increase to five, a number it intends to double in the near future.

In the past 12 months, the firm has entered into agreements with six national clients, supporting the recruitment of skilled technical and engineering personnel for industries including the chemical, oil & gas, renewables and utility sectors.

As well as attracting recruiters with sector-specific experience, the business is also keen to employ engineers to work with its clients.

Director James Gill said: “With the demand for skilled technical personnel increasing, companies operating across industry are relying on the support of employment specialists that have specialist sector knowledge.

“This has enabled us to carve a niche in the recruitment sector as our team contains experienced engineers who understand the requirements of our clients.”

“This has been the best year of my professional career.

“We’ve worked very hard and been through all of the challenges of establishing a new business, but the initial success we have achieved is driving us forward for the future.”
