BUILDING consultant White Young Green has chosen Teesside’s landmark Infinity Bridge to help launch the firm’s international rebranding.

The £15m Infinity Bridge spans the Tees between Durham University’s Queen’s Campus at Thornaby and the North Shore regeneration site in Stockton.

White Young Green played a central role in the project from the outset.

The bridge design is based on a brief WYG prepared for an international design competition. The firm was involved in the initial ground investigation and also worked on the planning and tender process.

It is now supervising construction on behalf of Stockton Council and Tees Valley Regeneration.

The bridge is now being used to illustrate a new brand identity for the firm, which will now officially be referred to as WYG.

David Wood, North East regional managing director for WYG, said: “This project is one of the most important WYG has carried out and deserves the pride of place we have given it among some of the most impressive international developments we have carried out all over the globe.”
