An innovative Northumberland skincare company has been recognised in a national campaign to reward the achievements of British businesses.

Skin Salveation, which is based in Felton, competed against more than 400 other businesses to win a Scoot Headline Award.

Established nearly 20 years ago, the business, which employs five people, uses a unique formula in its products to treat conditions such as eczema.

Throughout its lifetime, it has weathered numerous challenges in the market, reshaped its website and opened up new sales channels with the likes of John Bell and Croyden in London.

Scoot, a leading online business directory, launched its campaign to help businesses maximise their commercial potential by highlighting their successes to a large new audience.

Director John Davidson said: “We are delighted to have won this award as recognition of our efforts to continue to grow in difficult trading conditions and in such a demanding and competitive sector.”
