SCORES of events have been held across Teesside to help inspire young people as part of Enterprise Week.
Now in its fourth year, Enterprise Week is part of the Make Your Mark campaign, motivating young people to have an idea and make it happen.
Head of the Make Your Mark Tees Valley campaign, Pamela Hargreaves, said: “Throughout Enterprise Week, over 50 activities have been delivered by a variety of organisations across the Tees Valley aimed at lighting a spark in young people in the region and I believe we have been successful at doing so.
“The campaign is about encouraging business start-ups, social enterprises and the development of an enterprising workforce and all the young participants that we have worked with throughout the week seem to have been really engaged and fired up into thinking ahead to make their future a real success in the world of business and enterprise.”
Enterprise Week, this year ran from November 12-16 with 5,128 inspirational events running around the country, representing a 61% improvement on last year’s total of 3184.
Themes included Women’s Enterprise Day part of the Girls! Make your Mark campaign, in which local Teesside fashion designers Kate Fearnley and Rachel Powell held workshops.
