MARKETING agency West Marketing Communications has linked up with a digital business to try to win new clients by offering a broader range of services.

The Ponteland-based business has brought its regular outsourcing contractor Century Seventeen in as a digital partner. Century, which is also based in Ponteland, will remain as an independent firm but has taken on its partner’s branding to become West Digital.

West Digital will continue to work with all of its current clients, which include the Biscuit Factory, whilst working with West Marketing to boost the company’s full service offering to include website design, flash animation and other digital services. Then firms hope that by working more closely together to offer more services they can win new clients.

West Digital director Will Brown said: “The transformation to West Digital and becoming part of the West Group is a fantastic move for us. We felt such a synergy with West Marketing due to its creativity, enthusiasm and transparency and we’re really looking forward to working alongside the team on a day to day basis.”

To help West Marketing grow its business it has appointed Marie Grieve as business development manager and Nina Athey as account manager. Grieve has over 12 years marketing experience both in private and public sector and Athey brings has six years creative agency experience and is soon to become CIM accredited.

Director of West Marketing, Claire Stockton said: “We offer clients first class digital solutions however we were keen to have this capability inhouse, therefore we developed a new area of the business for this; West Digital.

“Century Seventeen was the perfect fit for West Digital, we’ve been working with its team for some time now and have such a shared passion and understanding of the industry. West Digital will focus on strengthening the whole group’s ability to deliver intelligent and impactful digital solutions.

“The expansion of the team couldn’t come at a better time; we’re incredibly busy as we go into our fourth year of business. Not only are the marketing requirements from our current clients expanding, but we’ve also started the year with a series of new account wins.”

The West Group has a broad client base in the UK and on the Continent and provides services including strategic insight, branding, design, photography, PR, digital and social media
