Big names from the world of digital marketing, advertising and innovation are being lined up for a high-profile conference.
Digital Media 360: Marketing in the Digital Age symposium will be staged at The Sage Gateshead on September 20.
Speakers will include: David Alberts, executive creative director of ad firm Grey London; Nick Piggott, digital content manager at radio operator GCap; and Matt Locke, head of innovation for BBC New Media and Technology.
The event will provide the chance to hear from some of the most creative, forward-thinking minds in digital marketing, as well as the chance to meet some of the North's leading digital media and technology companies.
Attendees will also have a chance to question the speakers, to discuss the North-East and the impact of new media upon it.
The event has been organised by North-East digital industry trade association Codeworks Connect. It will be chaired by Paul Campbell, chief executive officer of Newcastle technology firm The Amazing Group. Codeworks chief executive Herb Kim said: "Digital Media 360 is an unmissable chance for businesses in the region to find out how to take advantage of the fresh media channels and new business models that have been made feasible in today's digital age of Google, eBay, YouTube et al.
"We're delighted to welcome three such huge names to the North-East.
"All come to us from leading companies in their field and are well placed to give the region's business community a unique 360-degree view of current and future developments in the new media world.
"Most of the North-East's leading technology companies will be attending Digital Media 360, so the event also provides an ideal chance for non- technology companies to check out potential suppliers of websites and other new media services."
* The event is free to members of Codeworks Connect and £75+VAT to non-members. Further details can be found at www.thinkandadrink.com.
