Darlington building firm Stone Technical Services celebrates contract wins

Stone Technical Services of Darlington has just had the most successful first quarter in its 15-year history with £1m-worth of new contracts.

A building restoration, repair and maintenance business is celebrating the most successful first quarter of its 15-year history after achieving £1m in new contracts.

Stone Technical Services (STS) Group now aims to grow its turnover by around 50% over the next 12 months.

The Darlington-based company works in high-level, historic and general maintenance and has won a range of new projects with a variety of organisations.

The business rebranded at the start of the year to allow its four divisions – STS Lightning Protection, STS Restoration, STS Maintenance and Facilities Management and STS Conservation – to grow independently. In addition, STS has recruited a number of staff, taking numbers to 37 and allowing the company to take on larger contracts with major organisations.

Managing director Dave Stone said: “We’re incredibly proud of this record start to the year and it really is testament to our hardworking, enthusiastic team.

“We continue to invest heavily in experienced staff.”
