THREE recent graduates have joined regional law firm Crutes and will work from its offices in Newcastle and Teesside.
Chris Young, Charlotte Devine and Sophie Watson have joined as paralegals.
Chris, 25, from Hartlepool will offer support to the firm’s successful insurance litigation team. Since graduating in 2007 from Lancaster University with an LLB (Hons) degree, Chris has completed an LPC qualification at the College of Law in York and been responsible for handling insurance claims at Albany Assistance.
Like Chris, Charlotte Devine, 24, completed an LPC qualification at the College of Law in York and until recently, worked as a civil servant in an employment advisory role for the Department of Work and Pensions.
Charlotte, who is from Middlesbrough and graduated from Teesside University in 2008 with an LLB (Hons) degree, will also work in Crutes’ insurance litigation team. She said: “There are a lot of opportunities to get hands on experience at Crutes and I’m confident that my background in running cases will enable me to be an asset to the firm.”
Sophie Watson, 23, has joined after a year in a similar role at Berrymans Lace Mawer Solicitors in Stockton. Sophie, who is from Ingleby Barwick and graduated with an LLP Exempting Law degree from Northumbria University, spent part of her course gaining experience in Northumbria University’s Student Law Office.
